From March 9 to 19, the SELMA project (funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation) and the SèF project (funded by the Emilia-Romagna Region) participated in the handicrafts fair at Kram (Tunis), with 2 lines of agro-food and cosmetic products: SELMA-branded ones from the Chbedda Training Center, which, thanks to AICS funding, has become an experimental hub of agroecology and a point of reference for the local community, and those of the GDAs of Ben Arous who benefited, precisely at the Chbedda center, from our training, accompaniment and capacity-building paths.
At the booth, project staff and representatives of the GDAs of Ben Arous took visitors on a journey to raise awareness of responsible consumption by presenting the history of the products and promoting agroecology practices as a tool to combat climate change.
On March 10 for the opening of the fair, we had the honor of receiving a visit from Ambassador SE Fabrizio Saggio and the deputy director of AICS Tunis Dr. Anna Maria Meligrana.
Participation in the fair is the result of coordination and joint use of resources among three Italian NGOs – ARCS, CEFA and COSPE – in order to create synergies and exchanges among our projects.
