The project “Support to the development of urban and suburban agriculture in the city of Pinar del Rio through the use of efficient irrigation systems” is the second part of a wider project, which has as general objective “the contribution to food sovereignty by strenghtening the program of urban and sub-urban agriculture” and the specific objective of “improving the levels of productivity of the ground, following the criteria of sustainibility and efficiency, in order to guarantee more products on the local market and the increase of producers”.
