Lebanon – Social cohesion, work and infrastructures for Syrian refugees and for Lebanese citizens
Project
A ten-month project aims at improving the life conditions of Syrian refugees and vulnerable Lebanese citizens, including the returnees, through three main actions:
employment of 218 workers (both men and women), guests in the area of Al-Qasr, Kwakh and Sharbeyn, three villages which are particularly affected by the Syrian emergency in the district of Hermel, region of Bekaa;
building and mainteinance of public infrastructures for the community such as streets, public buildings, green areas;
realization of actions for social cohesion, in particular a course on safety at work for the workers employed in the framework of this project, which also provides the distribution of a safety kit. Literacy courses for women are also planned.
