We Are Future: vocational training, social and economic inclusion of youth, women and people with disabilities in Lebanon and Jordan

Period: 2017-2018 Locations: Akkar and Bekaa (Lebanon) – Irbid and Ajloun (Jordan) Beneficiaries: 620 vulnerable Lebanese, Jordanians and Syrians Donor: AICS (Italian Agency for Development and Cooperation) General info: The project aims at improving the living conditions of vulnerable Syrians, Lebanese and Jordanians by strengthening their resilience and skills. Through vocational trainings, beneficiaries are expected to increase their chances to enter the labour market in some of the most disadvantaged areas in Lebanon and Jordan.
The project provides for the organization of vocational training periods, followed by salaried apprenticeship in local enterprises, mainly in agriculture, environment, electronics and food processing.
Different local partners are involved in the project: Research and Cooperation (RC), Lebanese Physically Handicapped Union (LPHU) and MADA in Lebanon, Noor al Hussein Foundation (NHF) in Jordan.
The capacity building between partners is one of the added value of the initiative, as a result of coordination meetings and trainings that will take place.
