SOUFF - Earth: Support and co-development
for the strengthening of the Linguère community

“The SOUFF Project - Earth: support and co-development for the strengthening of the Linguère community” intends to contribute to the improvement of the living conditions of the population in the Louga region, through the promotion of the role of the Senegalese diaspora in Italy and an entrepreneurial model of local sustainable development.

The project, co-funded by the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation (AICS), aims at increasing and diversifying income generation activities for the inhabitants of the Linguère department, through the development of an agro-system that, thanks to the involvement of local entrepreneurship and "Return", integrates environmental protection and fighting against desertification.

To this end, actors from the Italian and Senegalese associations, diasporas and research institutes of the two countries, will be mobilized and collaborate, working on three main axes: the training (technical and managerial) of the local communities; the organization of producers through a technical support program; and the marketing of what has been produced within the pilot agrosystem.
